Making the first move is exhausting

The whole article is about women no longer have to make the first move on Bumble because a lot of women complained that making the first move is a lot of work and can be burden.

Making the first move is exhausting. I’ve never been asked out by a woman but I understand why also. If I am going to ask a girl out, so much thoughts go through my mind. Should I ask her out today or tomorrow? Ah crap, I didn’t see her today, maybe tomorrow. I don’t have her number. What should I do? How should I approach this.

I’m glad that we can just text or direct message people now. A lot harder when I was young. A simple text like “hello”, then “I want to take you out to dinner, would you like to accompany me?” Simple, straight forward, no hassle. She can go out with me or reject me or ghost me. No miscellaneous thoughts going through my mind. Once I sent it. I did my job. I did what I am supposed to do. The ball is in her court. She can do whatever she wants with it. I don’t have to do anything anymore and I don’t have to wonder or wait for her reply even. I can focus on work, school or making money after that simple text message.
